Steven Spielberg is born in Cincinnati in 1946. The highest-grossing filmmaker in history and probably the most famous living director, Spielberg’s films include Jaws, Close Encounters of The Third Kind, the Indiana Jones series, War of The Worlds, Minority Report, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan and Jurassic Park. He also produced Poltergeist. He has won the Oscar for Best Director twice, the AFI Life Achievement Award, the Golden Globes’ Cecil B. DeMille Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and honorary knighthoods in Britain and France.
