The newest thing haunting Murrieta is ScareScape. The new haunted attraction includes mazes, scare actors, live entertainment, a vendor marketplace, and more.

The Inland Empire Halloween event runs Thursdays-Sundays, Sept. 29-Oct. 29 featuring four mazes based on classic fears.

“We’re excited to introduce ScareScape to the So Cal haunt scene and provide a spooky Halloween experience that highlights the talent and creativity of our local community,” says Lexy Berru Creative Minds Productions. “We designed each maze to embody some of the most archetypal and primal fears that humans experience. From coulrophobia [fear of clowns] to phasmophobia [fear of ghosts and the supernatural], ScareScape will take you on a terrifying exploration of humankind’s deepest fears.”

The four mazes include Eternal Echoes where visitors travel through graveyards, swamps, catacombs, all while encountering ghosts along the way.

Wayward Souls leads puts maze-goers through the nightmarish limbo between the land of the living and the land of the dead, to experience their torment and madness in the afterlife.

The Void is a total blackout, and maze-goers must rely only on senses to get out.

Delirium is the VIP maze themed as a carnival, navigating through the performers, sideshows, and clowns.

While in Delirium, The Sideshow Spirit Lounge provides another perk for VIPs. Visitors can encounter members of the circus while sipping on signature cocktails like Firebreather, a hard apple cider; the Tattooed Lady, a glittery purple raspberry and lime vodka; the Fortune Teller’s Evil Eye, a cranberry gin topped with a lychee and blueberry eye. Or if there is a need for caffeine, there is the Jolly Chimp, a hard latte with banana, peanut butter, brown sugar, and caramel.

ScareScape has partnered with Snapshot Coffee Bar, to craft signature drinks based off the mazes. Sip on Wayward Souls, a spiced chai latte with a hint of pomegranate. Or Eternal Echoes, a double shot vanilla bean latte with both apple and toffee with a whisper of smoke. The Void is a spin of the pumpkin spice latte but with notes of maple, bourbon, cinnamon, and marshmallow. Or Delirium with espresso, white mocha, raspberry, maple, vanilla bean, and cinnamon. Snapshot Coffee Bar will be located next to the ticket booths.

Other cocktails include the Wayward Souls bar, featuring Beyond the Grave, a fruity cocktail with rum, blue curacao, and sour apple liqueur served with a bloodied vessel. Or sip on the Ectoplasm Elixir with raspberry vodka, peach schnapps, and sweet and sour mix. Or head to the Void maze bar to taste the darkness with the Blackout, an all black margarita served with salt and lime.

Food trucks will also be on site to provide pumpkin cream cheese muffins, gooey cinnamon rolls, freshly baked soft pretzels, and more.

Tickets are $25, and the Witching Hour tickets are online only while supplies last for $20. Purchase tickets early and use the promo code SPOOKYSUMMER to save $10. VIP tickets are $45  and include access to the Sideshow Spirit Lounge for the Drinks for Freaks menu.
