Rated R Horror Speakeasy couldn’t be killed.

The pop up bar will be returning to Los Angeles Jan. 27 for a one-night stand after its abrupt closure during COVID. Tickets are limited and drinks will be flowing.

The Nocturne Theatre, located in downtown Glendale, is said to be haunted by 5 unique spirits. The space has multiple rooms and stages, where DJ Jonah Ray will be spinning and the ladies of Elevation Aerial will be up in the air slinging drinks and performing all night. There will also be additional surprise performances.

From the first event in 2019, the venue was filled with horror fans drinking custom themed cocktails, drinking shots from aerial bartenders, playing horror arcade games, and dancing to projections of famous horror scenes and music. Roaming characters are there to surprise and scare and movies play on screens throughout the venue.

The bar began as a collaboration between horror filmmaker Graham Skipper, and Meyer2Meyer Entertainment, created by Justin and Melissa Myers. Skipper is best known for writing and directing Sequence Break and starring in horror films such as Almost Human and The Leech.

Rated R was shut down when the COVID pandemic hit, and is now making its return to the Nocturne Theatre, where Meyer2Meyer have recently become the owners.
