Akira Ifukube is born in Hokkaido, Japan in 1914. The king of kaiju music, he is composer of the Godzilla Theme and music for dozens of Japanese giant monster movies including Godzilla King of the Monsters, Destroy All Monsters, War of the Gargantuas, and the Daimajin trilogy. He died in 2006.
