The conman’s old saying goes “never let the truth get in the way of a good story.” And from that, many myths and legends have been born. Even sometimes at the risk of creating dangerous misconceptions, stereotypes, fear and paranoia.
2022 is a big year for myth and legend. From the Salem Witch Trials and the Roswell Incident to the Beast of Gevaudan and the Patterson-Gimlin film, there are hoaxes and there are true events clouded by exaggeration, distortion and misinformation.
