Haruo Nakajima is born in Sakata, Japan in 1929. The stuntman turned actor is considered the best and longest serving man in the Godzilla suit, playing the famous kaiju in 12 consecutive films from 1954’s original to 1972’s Godzilla vs. Gigan. He also played Mothra, Rodan, King Kong and Gaira, the green Gargantua in War of the Gargantuas. He died in 2017.
