The Austrian film Dracula’s Death or Drakula halála opens on an unknown date in February 1921. The now lost film is considered the first known depiction of the character, though the plot reportedly had almost no resemblance to Bram Stoker’s classic novel. The film was released in Germany a year later, Hungary two years later and the U.S. release date is unknown.
