William Castle is born in New York City in 1914. The producer/director/writer is known for his string of polished B-movies promoted with gimmicks. His films include House on Haunted Hill, The Tingler, 13 Ghosts, Homicidal, Mr. Sardonicus, Zotz! and Strait-Jacket. He also produced Rosemary’s Baby and was associate producer on the Orson Welles classic The Lady From Shanghai. He died in 1977.
