It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown premieres on CBS in 1966. The third animated special based on Charles M. Schulz’ Peanuts characters and the first to feature a Halloween theme. The hour-long film is later nominated for an Emmy and is often considered Vince Guaraldi’s best score.
