Dr. Terror’s House of Horrors opens across the U.S. in 1965. Amicus Productions’ first horror film is also their first horror anthology. The film stars British icons Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing and is directed by Freddie Francis. It’s a success and is followed over the next decade by Torture Garden, The House that Dripped Blood, Tales from the Crypt, Asylum, The Vault of Horror and From Beyond the Grave.
