House of Dracula opens across the U.S. in 1945. The second in Universal’s “monster rally” horror movies of the late 1940s featuring their company of characters including John Carradine’s Dracula, Glenn Strange’s Frankenstein Monster, Lon Chaney Jr. as the Wolf Man, a mad doctor and hunchbacked female assistant. Character actor Lionel Atwill died shortly after appearing in the film.
