Johnny Eck is born in Baltimore in 1911. The sideshow performer — born without his lower torso — and actor appeared as “The Half Boy” in Tod Browning’s 1932 film Freaks. He was also a musician, painter, woodworker, photographer, magician, and arcade owner. He died in 1991.
