Ray Bradbury is born in Waukegan, Illinois in 1920. The prolific, versatile and highly-influential author of sci-fi, horror, and mystery wrote 27 novels including Fahrenheit 451 and Something Wicked This Way Comes; more than 600 short stories and novellas; plays, screen- and teleplays, including episodes of The Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents; children’s stories, and non-fiction essays.  He also hosted The Ray Bradbury Theater anthology TV show in the early 1990s. He died in 2012.
