The Masque of The Red Death premieres in London and Los Angeles in 1964. Directed by Roger Corman — the seventh of his eight Edgar Allan Poe-based films — co-written by Charles Beaumont, and starring Vincent Price, the film doesn’t do as well as the others but is regarded as some of Corman’s and Price’s best work.
