COVID-19 has done a lot of things to 2020. For haunt fans, it’s made their beloved Halloween uncertain. But for many creative types and horror lovers, it’s provided the opportunity for ingenuity. Case in point: Huntington Beach, California’s Tunnel of Terror OC — aka the Haunted Car Wash. It’s not something a haunt-goer would normally think of when considering a haunted attraction. But once the thought strikes, it’s hard not to think about the haunted potential of a car wash. It’s dark, it’s hard to see through, there’s often a long wait — nuff said. And the car wash does not disappoint. In fact, due to high demand, additional days have been added.

Monsters scare drivers in line on the way to the automated car wash as well as offer some surprises in the wash, too. One tip: The monsters are very enthusiastic as they scare and may even attempt to open your car door. If you want to keep them far, far away, lock your doors and roll up your windows as soon as you get in line.
