‘The Walking Dead’ Year-Round Attraction Comes to Universal Studios Hollywood July 4

"The Walking Dead" attraction opens July 4 permanently at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The gore-filled, post-apocalyptic world of “The Walking Dead” comes to “life” in all its zombie glory July 4 as a permanent attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood.

“After six years of working on the show, we have a great opportunity to take ‘The Walking Dead’ out of the studio, off the soundstage and put it at the attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood, where guests can come face-to-face with ‘The Walking Dead,’” said Greg Nicotero, a director, executive producer and the special effects makeup supervisor for the show in a two-minute video, including footage of Nicotero touring his Los Angeles-based special effects studio, KNB EFX, which creates the show’s and attraction’s decaying walkers.

Zombie fans will have plenty to celebrate this Fourth of July.
