The Dead Zone opens across the U.S. in 1983. David Cronenberg’s horror thriller is one of the most successful adaptations of a Stephen King novel and is one of Christopher Walken’s most famous roles. King has also praised the film as an improvement on his work. A TV series version ran for six seasons.
