The Raven opens across the U.S. in 1935. The horror thriller stars Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff and is the final film in Universal’s 1930’s Edgar Allan Poe trilogy, following Murders in the Rue Morgue and The Black Cat. Shot in just 17 days, the film is controversial upon its release and banned in multiple countries, yet maintains a following among Karloff and Lugosi fans.
