Hans J. Salter is born in Vienna, Austria-Hungary (now Austria) in 1896. His long career as a composer and orchestrator includes six Oscar nominations and a long list of horror films like The Wolf Man, Creature from The Black Lagoon, The Ghost of Frankenstein, Son of Dracula, House of Frankenstein, The Invisible Man Returns and the American cut of King Kong vs. Godzilla. He died in 1994.
