La Residencia — opens in Spain in 1969. Released two years later in the U.S. as The House That Screamed, the early and influential slasher film about girls in a French boarding school is cut to avoid an X rating for its American release. It opens to mixed reviews, but becomes Spain’s most successful film at the time.
