Tim Burton is born in Burbank in 1958. The filmmaker, animator and illustrator has built a steady career on making dark, yet whimsical films including Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood, Mars Attacks!, Dark Shadows and Beetlejuice, the TV series Wednesday, as well as the stop-motion animated films The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride. His Vincent Price documentary, Conversations With Vincent, remains a famously unfinished film.
