Glenn Strange is born in Weed, New Mexico in 1899. The 6-foot-4-inch Strange appeared almost entirely in westerns during his long career, yet famously played Frankenstein’s monster, after Boris Karloff retired from the role, in the films House of Frankenstein, House of Dracula, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein and The Adventures of the Spirit. He also got into make up for the movies Master Minds and The Mad Monster. He died in 1973.
