The Mousetrap premieres at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham, England in 1952. The Agatha Christie murder mystery begins the longest continuous run in theater history, of more than 70 years and 29,000 performances — despite moves to several different venues — that continues to the present day and is only interrupted by a 14-month stoppage due to COVID-19.
