The Magician opens across the U.S. in 1926. The silent film thriller by Rex Ingram is based on the novel by Somerset Maugham about a magician seeking blood to conjure life. The film was considered lost for decades until the early 1990s, and has appeared at film festivals and on Turner Classic Movies.
