Dia de los Muertos ends in Mexico. The Mexican Day of the Dead, a colorful celebration of the lives of deceased loved ones, has origins that reach back to the Aztecs, but evolved to incorporate some Spanish and Catholic traditions as well. Festivals also take place across portions of the U.S.
