Dracula’s Castle opens at Lagoon Amusement Park in Farmington, Utah in 1974. One of the last dark rides designed by Bill Tracy, it was advertised to “scare the yell out of you” and used strobe lights, a rotating tunnel and live actors to enhance disorientation and scares in its early years of operation. The ride remains one of the most popular at the park.
