Twins of Evil opens across the U.S. in 1972. Released as a double feature with Hands of the Ripper, the Hammer film stars Peter Cushing and Playboy Playmates Mary and Madeleine Collinson and is the third in Karnstein Trilogy featuring lesbian storylines of the Karnstein vampire family. Following The Vampire Lovers and Lust for a Vampire, the film receives mostly decent reviews and box office. A fourth film is never made, but Captain Kronos — Vampire Hunter is often considered an unofficial fourth film.
