Frank Darabont is born in Montbeliard, France in 1959. The Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominated writer, director and producer wrote the screenplays for Nightmare on Elm Street 3, The Blob and The Fly II as well as directed Stephen King adaptations The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Mist. He also developed and executive produced The Walking Dead for TV.
