Michael Ripper is born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England in 1913. The character horror movie actor appeared in dozens of British movies and TV shows, but is primarily known for his 25-year association with Hammer Films, including The Phantom of the Opera, The Revenge of Frankenstein, The Curse of the Werewolf, The Reptile, The Plague of the Zombies and multiple Hammer Dracula and Mummy films. Ripper made a total of nine films with Christopher Lee and eight with Peter Cushing. He died in 2000.
