Dracula premieres on CBS in 1974. The TV movie written by Richard Matheson and directed by Dark Shadows and Kolchak:The Night Stalker creator Dan Curtis stars Jack Palance as the count. The film – six years after Curtis and Palance made a TV film version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde – is a success and remains a high mark in TV horror.
