Michael Carreras is born in London in 1927. The son of Hammer Films founder James Carreras becomes a key figure in Hammer’s success, producing, writing and or directing more than 60 films during Hammer’s heyday including The Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula, The Mummy, The Curse of the Werewolf, She, and Maniac, among others. He died in 1994.
