Camp Creep It Real Brings ‘Hocus Pocus’ Celebration

Camp Creep It Real kicks off the Halloween season and celebrates "Hocus Pocus" at Heritage Museum of OC Sept. 16 and 17.

Heritage Museum of Orange County will be creeping it real Sept. 16 and 17 at Camp Creep It Real.  The annual event returns to the museum for one of the opening events of the county’s Halloween season and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Disney’s Hocus Pocus.

The family-friendly event will feature more than 120 vendors, live music, magic show, and DJ. A curated museum exhibit of Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2 props, costumes and other rare pieces from the films will be on display, as well as a meet and greet with actors Vinessa Shaw, Omri Katz, and Jason Marsden from the original film.

Co-producer Kevin Valantine says their goal is “to create and share an environment where local artists, vendors, DIYers, and Halloween enthusiasts will join together as the season ramps up to further ignite the excitement of the spookiest time of the year.”

The event’s live entertainment includes DJ The Vinyl Ghoul and live performances by Twilight Creeps and Six Silver Bullets. Guests can also enjoy Chris Ruiz Magic.

Costumes — even costumed pets  — are welcome. “Those coming in costume for photo ops will fit right in at this spooky place.” says co-producer Megan Valantine.
