Gordon Russell is born in Salem, Mass. in 1929. The longtime and Emmy-nominated soap opera writer, also wrote episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Great Ghost Tales and co-wrote Dark Shadows during its late 1960s-early 1970s run with fellow screenwriter Sam Hall. He died in 1981.
