If you are not sure you are in the right place, then you’re there. Wisdome.LA, a 35,000-square-foot art entertainment park, is situated in the Los Angeles Arts District, which has evolved from mostly warehouses to one of LA’s most happening epicenters. Behind industrial factories-turned-hip-restaurants, you’ll find four large dome structures with what sounds like electronic dance music thumping loudly inside. You have arrived. It’s a new day. Or more specifically, “A New Dia.”

Presented by Estrella Jalisco beer, this immersive multi-room exhibit guides visitors through a sensory journey via four geodesic dome installations that explore the themes and traditions of Dia de los Muertos. Each room comes from the unique vision of filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, who collaborated with Estrella Jalisco to bring the installation to life. Rodriguez also narrates the installation as guests wander the domes, for example telling the legend of how the marigold came to be associated with Dia de Los Muertos, while they explore a marigold garden. In another dome, guests lie back on reclined love seats and stare up at a starry night sky projected onto the domed ceiling and learn about alebrijes, or spirit guides.
