Seconds opens across the U.S. in 1966. John Frankenheimer’s sci-fi psychological horror film stars Rock Hudson as a man in a new body. The film bombs on its release, is booed at the Cannes Film Festival, and cut for its American release. After Criterion releases a restored cut for DVD, the film is rediscovered as a cult classic and is added to the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry in 2015.
