The first episode of Children of the Stones is broadcast on Britain’s ITV network in 1977. The landmark seven-part folk horror mini-series for children about a small English village stuck in a time loop is noted for its writing, acting and for being considered by British TV critics “the scariest program ever made for children.” It was broadcast in U.S. on Nickelodeon in the early 1980s.
