The first episode of Children of the Stones is broadcast on Britain’s ITV network in 1977. The landmark seven-part folk horror mini-series for children about a small English village stuck in a time loop is noted for its writing, acting and for being “the scariest program ever made for children.” It was broadcast in the U.S. on Nickelodeon in the early 1980s.
