Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow premieres in Los Angeles in 1999. The adaptation of Washington Irving’s classic story is made as an homage to Hammer Films and Mexican horror and stars Johnny Depp and features Christopher Lee and Christopher Walken. The film is a hit and wins the Oscar for Best Art Direction, as well as two BAFTAs and several other awards.
