Roman Polanski is born in Paris in 1933. The controversial filmmaker’s Oscar-winning career includes the horror films The Fearless Vampire Killers, Repulsion, Rosemary’s Baby and The Ninth Gate. He has continued to make films despite being a fugitive from U.S. law enforcement after pleading guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl in 1977. He currently lives in France.
