Humanoids From The Deep opens across the U.S. in 1980. Directed by Barbara Peeters and produced by Roger Corman, who hired two other directors to add more exploitative shots to the movie. Using plot points from 1950s and 1960s monster movies and controversial on its release because of graphic violence and nudity, it becomes a small hit for New World Pictures. A remake would follow in 1996.
