Dick Sprang is born in Fremont, Ohio in 1915. The comic book artist and explorer was largely responsible for giving Batman his look through the 1940s and 1950s. He also designed the look of the Riddler and the classic look of the Batmobile. Later, he discovered the “Defiance House” in the Anazazi ruins in Utah. He died in 2000.
