The Fly opens across the U.S. in 1958. The body horror classic stars David Hedison as a scientist whose experiments with a teleportation device go wrong when a fly enters the device with him. The film was a hit and spawned two sequels Return of the Fly in 1959 and Curse of the Fly in 1965. The 1986 remake starring Jeff Goldblum is also a hit.
