Alice Cooper is born Vincent Damon Furnier in Detroit, Michigan in 1948. The iconic and pioneering ‘Godfather of shock rock,’ mixes vaudeville, Grand Guignol theater, and classic horror movies, with garage rock and early heavy metal over a five-decade career that includes the hits “School’s Out” and “Only Women Bleed,” as well as the classic concept album “Welcome to My Nightmare” and legendary stage shows. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.
