Director Roger Corman is born in Detroit, Michigan in 1926. The iconic B-movie producer/director has over 400 credits to his resume, from horror and action to westerns including Little Shop of Horrors, A Bucket of Blood, Not of This Earth, Frankenstein Unbound, Death Race 2000 and a series of films based on stories of Edgar Allan Poe, often featuring Vincent Price and Boris Karloff. He also gave a start to the careers of Jack Nicholson, William Shatner, Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and filmmakers Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard, and James Cameron.
