Michael Carreras is born in London in 1927. The son of Hammer Films founder James Carreras becomes a key figure in Hammer’s success, producing, writing and/or directing more than 60 films during Hammer’s heyday including The Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula, The Mummy, The Curse of the Werewolf, She, and Maniac, among others. He died in 1994.
