Interview With A Vampire is published in 1976. The first novel by Anne Rice receives mixed reviews but slowly grows a devoted following. The novel’s eventual success spawns a movie version in 1994 and several comic book versions. The novel is the first of what later becomes known as The Vampire Chronicles.
