The Witches opens across the U.S. in 1990. Based on the Roald Dahl novel and directed by Nicolas Roeg, the horror comedy stars Anjelica Huston and is Jim Henson’s last film. Dahl later disowns the film when Roeg changes the ending, but film is a critical and box office hit and has become a cult favorite.
